What is hypnosis

Hypnosis or trance is a natural brain state we go in and out of many times a day. It's the state we're in just as we fall asleep, and just as we wake up in the morning. The deepest form of trance is when we're asleep and dreaming – REM sleep. Essentially hypnosis is accessing an REM state when we're not asleep.
